“HERITAGE QUEEN”, as it’s lovingly known amongst the staff here at the lodge, is our quaint room. It is on the 3rd floor and has a bathroom with a bit of a small shower. However, it is the room that inspired the house being turned into a bed & breakfast. In 1976, Mitzi Durham found an Appalachian Trail hiker huddled down by the stream and brought him in to feed him and give him a welcomed night’s rest. The hiker was extremely grateful. This experience of hospitality is what inspired her to turn the house into a bed & breakfast. This room does not have a fireplace. Breakfast included. Pets are welcome for an additional charge of $100/stay. Taxes added to the price at checkout include: – NJ State Sales Tax 6.625% – NJ State Occupancy Tax 5% – Vernon Township Occupancy Tax 3% DEPOSIT, CANCELLATION & CHANGE POLICY A 100% deposit is charged at the time of booking to guarantee the room(s).  Cancellations and changes made 30 days or more before check-in will receive a full refund minus a $50 fee per room booked. Cancellations and changes made 29 to 15 days before check-in will receive a full refund minus a $100 fee per room booked. Cancellations and changes made 14 to 3 days before check-in will receive a full refund minus a $250 fee per room booked.   Cancellations and changes made less than 3 days prior to check-in are subject to the full cost of the stay. No-shows and early checkouts will not be refunded. All cancellation requests must be emailed to hello@foxandbearlodge.com.​CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Check-in time begins at 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Please contact us via email if you would like to request an early check-in. Baggage storage is available if early check-in is not possible.  NO BUTTS ABOUT IT FOX & BEAR LODGE is a smoke-free facility. If you or your guests choose to smoke in a guest room OR on the property, a $500 cleaning fee will be added to your bill.
